Danielle & Daniel’s wedding had a bit of a twist – they eloped three days before their wedding reception! I can’t say l blame them as they chose to wed in the sunny Whitsundays, taking a helicopter flight to a remote sandy beach, and exchanging vows with only two witnesses. I tried hard to convince them that they needed another photographer there but l didn’t get away with it LOL!
A few days later, their family and friends were treated to an intimate wedding reception at the rustic Wildwood Winery & Cafe in Bulla.
Danielle’s attention to detail was absolutely amazing – the reception space was transformed beautifully, with bunting, vintage styled jars, chalkboards, greenery, fairy lights and hay bales. There was a polaroid style photo-booth spot with cute props for guests to play with, little photos of Danielle & Daniel’s love story, and one of the most beautiful wedding cakes l’ve ever seen resting on a wine barrel. And the lolly bar? Amazing! – a wonderful collaboration between various suppliers, styled to a T, and a hit with all of the guests who enjoyed chocolate mud cake pops, macarons, maltesers, pink marshmallows, and customised shortbreads & wrapped chocolates.
Wildwood supplied delicious woodfired pizzas all night, as well as a huge antipasto buffet with lots of meats, olives, cheeses, dips and breads. The night ended with wedding cake & butterscotch sauce for dessert, and lots of dancing and talking late into the evening.
Congratulations Danielle & Daniel, may you have a long and happy married life together!
