Simon & Rachel’s wedding was at St Anne’s Winery in Myrniong, just out of Bacchus Marsh. St Anne’s is another of those venues that l had no idea existed, and when l drove there for the first time, l was a bit excited – it is so rustic & beautiful, with lots of wine barrels (of course!), natural Australian bush, a vineyard, and a number of lovely timber buildings dotted around the landscape. It also has some rather funky light fittings and an amazing barrel room!
Rachel had put so much thought into all the parts of the day – from the gorgeous invitations that she hand made, to the cute order of service cards and then the place cards, flowers, seating plan and rustic decorations at the reception. Nothing was forgotten, there was even a birthday cake for one of their guests.
The days started with the boys getting ready in Diggers Rest, along with Basil the dog who was taking careful note of proceedings from his chair in the lounge room. Rachel and her mum & bridesmaids got dressed in a guest suite at the beautiful Sunnyside Villa in Bacchus Marsh, and we had time for some photos in the gorgeous gardens surrounding the old homestead before leaving for the ceremony and reception at St Anne’s.
Congratulations to both of you – and best wishes for a wonderful married life together!
