Melbourne’s registry office in the Treasury Building was the setting for Chris and Chrissy’s lovely wedding day. I’d been looking forward to this wedding for so long because l had never been to the Registry Office before, and was just a bit curious as to what it was like inside! I’d imagined it to be boring and official with no personality, but it is anything but. It’s actually rather lovely, and when you look at the outside of the old Treasury Building, it’s easy to see why – it’s such a beautiful old building.
To help their day run smoothly, Chris and Chrissy had their formal photos before the ceremony, in the Fitzroy Gardens. Accompanied by excited family and friends we then filed inside, and waited in the Margaret Craig room while the bride and groom filled out some pre-wedding paperwork. A short and sweet ceremony followed, and the new Mr and Mrs were announced.
It was then on to Punch Lane & Wine Bar in Little Bourke Street for an afternoon of fine food and wine, and a beautifully casual reception. Congratulations to you both, and best wishes for a happy married life together!
