Anthony and Leah’s Kyneton wedding was just gorgeous. It was one of those weddings where as a photographer l didn’t feel like l was working at all, the whole day was just a big celebration in a beautiful old Victorian country town. I love Kyneton – the old buildings, the funky shops & cafes…the history – it all has so much character, and so did this wedding.
Before we start on Anthony & Leah’s wedding day, we have to rewind just a little bit to the day before, where we met at their reception venue, the Royal George Hotel in Piper Street. I took the opportunity to snap a quick ‘before’ pre-wedding photo of then in the downstairs bar, and promised we would revisit the same location the next day for an ‘after’ shot. As you’re scrolling down, look out for it – it’s one of my most favourite shots from the day ;-)
Leah and her girls got ready at the Garden Tap Nursery – so much character, l was spoiled for photography choices everywhere l looked and ended up taking wedding dress shots in about 7 different places LOL.
The stunning bridal bouquet, sitting in it’s delivery box by the back door.
Leah’s beautiful hairpiece
I took a quick visit out the back door into the Garden Tap Nursery, and found the beautiful inside of a terracotta pot to place Leah’s engagement ring in. :-)
But back to the beautiful white bedroom – is it not just absolutely stunning!
The beautiful bride…
And a very nervous groom, waiting in the Kyneton Botanical Gardens…
Here comes the bride…
After the ceremony we started on bridal portraits…the Kyneton Botanic Gardens are filled with a huge variety of beautiful old trees mixed with colourful flower beds, the perfect location!
And then it was off to the Royal George Hotel for more photos…
I think poor Anth was feeling a bit tired by this point, so we had some chill out time downstairs :-)
Upstairs, the recepetion room was looking amazing – lots of rustic brickwork, bunting flapping on the verandah, flowers, food and Anthony’s hand-drawn Fingerprint Tree for guests to leave their mark. And, a lovely wedding cake.
All in all it was a wonderful evening – loud, warm, friendly and filled with character. To Anthony & Leah – the hugest of congratulations to you both on your marriage, it was an absolute honour to be there on your wedding day xxx
