There’s not many brides who get to walk down the aisle twice on their wedding day! Ashleigh & Mitch got married at Emu Bottom Homestead in a ceremony that started in the garden behind the historic Homestead. However one of Melbourne’s notorious big storms was well and truly on its way, and it was decided to move the ceremony indoors. Luckily everyone made it to the slab hut just before the torrential downpour began – it literally rained buckets. (or should that be cats and dogs?!)
Safe and dry inside the slab hut, the beautiful bride made her way down the aisle for a second time. I have to hand it to both Ashleigh and Mitch – l’ve never seen a couple so genuinely happy despite all the hiccups on their special day – they couldn’t keep the smiles off their faces. After their ceremony we started bridal portraits in the Woolshed, and were able to spend 30 minutes outside in the beautiful light for more photos in the Emu Bottom gardens before their evening reception began.
